How did you get into Sprintcar racing?

I’ve always wanted to race Sprintcars since I was little, and now seems like a good time to take on the challenge of driving one

Who are you?

I’m currently studying at the University of Canterbury, outside of speedway I enjoy all types of sports, keeping fit and spending time with friends/family. My goal is to race Sprintcars professionally in the USA

What is your main focus during WOW?

My main focus during the War of the Wings series is to improve each and every night, and to gain the respect of the competitors

Most respected rivals?

All of the drivers in the series, they all seem like good drivers and I respect them all for what they do

Most admired driver past or present?

Jeff Gordon and Sammy Swindell are the two I have admired and looked up to since I was really little

Followed Speedway from a young age and always wanted to do it. Finally did it when my Cricket career finished.

Own Kiwi Kids Preschool. Enjoy golf and following my kids in any sport or activity they do.

What is your main focus during WOW?

To enjoy the season as I’ve been out of the car for a season so will take awhile to get back into the rhythm of things again.

We are all enemies when helmet goes on until it comes off again

Not too many as I'm not the popular one, no most racers are good but every now and then it goes bad for the night.

Like to finish in the Top 3. Aim to Start and Finish all Races and avoid everybody else on the track

Started in a modified sprint for a couple of years. Had an opportunity through Miles Forsey to have a go and got the bug

I am a cropping farmer from mid Canterbury. I played senior rugby for Methven until I was 30 and then thought it was time to have a crack at speedway which has always been a passion of mine. I am married to Amy and we have four young kids, 1 girl and three boys.

My four year old daughter selected the car she liked most. Saw the Sprintcar in the window at The Edge Parts and Performance and she wanted it (not so happy when we wrote it off)

I own Complete Automotive 2008 Ltd, a small but busy mechanical workshop in Christchurch Central. We do a wide range of mechanical repairs as well as entry level compliance and reregistration inspections on a wide range of vehicles. My hobby is my race car. Building trailers

To finish each race, and enjoy myself and try to better last year's results
